We are looking for a unique firebrand (read: Operations Technician) who wants to join us on our journey towards a sustainable future.

As an operations technician at Solör Bioenergi, you make a difference. Every day, you contribute to delivering district heating to hospitals, schools, industries, apartments, or houses. Thanks to waste from the forestry industry, we recycle and produce district heating with lower environmental impact. Help contribute to a secure everyday life for the residents of Svenljunga.

Our facility in Svenljunga consists of a biomass boiler and two oil boilers that are used as needed during downtime or peak load. The facility also has an ORC turbine to convert some of the hot water into electricity. Annually, the operation produces approximately 50 GWh, providing houses, multi-family homes, and businesses with reliable and stable heat and energy.

About the position

In the role of operations technician, you get to fire up. No... not just that, of course, but monitoring, coordinating, and optimizing the operation of the district heating plants and distribution systems is a significant part of the job. You handle fuels and optimize facilities to create optimal capacity. You work continuously with service and maintenance while ensuring that the operation is conducted as safely and efficiently as possible. If something arises that prevents heat from being delivered, you are the one who steps in and works to both prevent and, if necessary, alleviate acute operational disturbances.

It is a requirement that you have:

• A valid driver's license (B) as on-call duties are included in the position.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (both spoken and written) and Office 365 programs.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in the fields of power/heat/energy production. Alternatively, experience from working in the process industry, biogas, property management, water supply/sanitation, and/or agriculture.
• Experience in service, maintenance, technology/mechanics.
• Educational background equivalent to operations and/or maintenance technician or other technical education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience and knowledge in electrical and/or automation technology.
